I've hidden my heart so many times.
Knowing how to not get hurt.
I've locked my heart with the thickest lock I could find.
And threw away the key.
But since I met you.
The lock slowly started to move, back and forward.
Until it broke in two.
You got my heart in your hands, I'm not asking you to give it back.
It's yours to have and hold. If you'll take care of it.
I trust you with my heart.
I aint going nowhere.
I'm yours. Today, Tomorrow, The day after that, as long as you want me.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Only friends.
You said "only friends" untill our faces was to close and we kissed in the night

Only friends.
You said "only friends" but now you say "/kisses" in your text that tells me you want to be with me.

Only Friends.
You said "only friends" but you slept next to me last night.
I don't think we can be, only friends.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Imagine a road before you.
The road is full of holes, turns and obstacles.
You know you have to walk that road.
But how to overcome?

You dont always have to walk alone.
You can let people in
You dont always have to walk alone.
You can't let your fears win.

Again imagine the road before you.
But with someone next to you.
The obstacles is still there.
But you'll have someone beside you.
Doesnt feel so hard now huh?

You dont always have to walk alone.
You can let people in.
You dont always have to walk alone.
You can't let your fears win.

Sometimes on the road monsters will appear. Ghosts from the past.
A walk down memory lane isnt always such a blast.
But if you face them with someone they'll fade away.
Togheter we're stronger than one and with you he/she will stay.
The friend by your side.

You dont always have to walk alone.
You can let people in.
You dont always have to walk alone.
You can't let your fears win.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I usually only type when I'm troubled.
And please, can we restrain from sarcastic comments, I'm in a very bad place in life right now and I'm weak and hurt and sarcastic/mean comments will hurt alot more than usual.
I can't decide what people comment, but I can ask for some humanity.
Also, don't judge my language, as I said these were originally written in swedish and I just translated them.

Wow Phantom, didn't know you had it in you.
I genuinely enjoy this piece. It's clear you're voicing your frustrations about your closeted homosexuality in a fast paced and heteronormative society. It truly harkens to the thoughts of an outsider trying to masquerade around in an attempt to fit in, and your fantastic poem is voicing discontent over this. Truly inspiring. I hope you find solice in you homosexuality.

I will put myself out there here you go:

#1
MIRROR
Like the mind that wonders without thought it ponders
And gets no answer to the question that it purposes to my conscious mind
The person asking, looks like me and stares at me through the sanctity of the mirror.
I used to truly admire the intricacies of my mask.
With no deliberate message it sends me encrypted sentences and words that make no sense and force this upon me, this tedious task.
Get to know myself? What the hell for? I’ll loose what’s stored as soon as I’m standing at the door?
The mirror is the only one who sees my reflection and adorns it with admiration, ridicule, and a confirmation of everything that I live for.
This one inanimate object, whose silence speaks volumes in my head and nonetheless I run from its library of information about me that counts down all…
One, two, three, four…
Yes, four, it reminds me I am unattractive and un-conformed, talent-less, but talented, confusing me more.
My souls center which needs a breathe of life, consequently plants the seeds to all my insecurities so I walk, no I run away.
The mirror will always have something to say so I close my eyes and blindfold myself walking slowly but with infinite steps staring into that dark fabric knowing what lies beyond.
I bask in my surroundings, full of family and friends and situations. Which at times has me in a corner gasping for air, peering at the world through panes of blue, oblivious of the torment I have to pay in order to face this and every day.
The Mirror is my honesty, unable to lie to me, it foresees my today, my tomorrow and my yesterdays forever more.
The mirror, when shattered, is my door.

#2

Unveiled

My wall dilapidated.
In the ruins of shadow,
Future and past.
In forever and never.
Impoverished Fruition,
An apparition, at best.

You are my provocateur,
My witness.
You espied,
An unveiled caparison,
My spirit unadorned,
No guise.

The rawness of
The rawness of
The rawness of
Your irreproachable form.

Endlessly lodged,
In that moment in time,
When you and I,
For a moment lie,
Happily lost,
Enveloped and entwined.

It is how I cope,
I stand devotedly,
At a distance,
But not blind.
And with absolute honesty.

Me, myself and I,
My entire core…
Hopelessly,
Without regard, yours.

To the distance between us,
And to the time, lay lost.
I remain unbudgingly,
And Celibately,
Unveiled, and yours.

Okey, so I get alot of free time at my second job.

The smiles
The sillyness of characters.
The urge to make you smile, cause the moment I hear that smile on your lips.
The miles in between just dont exist.
Such a short period of time, yet it somehow kills me.
Not having you close, seeing the smile I'd die to see.

A few days but feelings so strong, already feeling it's with you I belong.

Scared of emotions and the way that I feel.
Yet still ends up wishing all of this could be real.
-----------------------------------------------------------

Silly little butterflies
Doing a happy dance in my stomach.
Bouncing like kittens chasing a fly.
Silly little butterflies
----------------------------------------------------------

In a moment of clarity,
it all makes perfect sense.
Finding someone like you, a rarity
Giving me the feelings so dense.

A call away so small and quick
The breathtaking prescense of you
Shines me up like a light on a wick.
It's the sound of your voice that gets me through.

I start to miss you as soon as you go away
Knowing it might be hours till next time.
If I could just hold you, making you stay.
Asking you to not go away, just be mine.

But the hour is late and my eyes starts to close.
Waiting, hopeing to see you come back.
Feeling wishfull sinking in to the dreams of those.
Dreaming 'bout holding your hand, a experience I lack.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

A longing dream that I can't remember.
The autumn outside who's colours burns with ember.
Another afternoon in the color of grey,
sitting here wishing it all to go away.
Run away wind, run away rain.
Come out my sun, beam away the pain.
Then I remember what the dream was about,
It was about a future not filled with doubt.
A future of hope and love in purest form,
not like the outside on going storm.
If one could wish and one could dream
maybe the future is closer than it seem.
------------------------------------------------------------------------

Don't tell me to fit in, I am not able to.
Don't ask me to change cause for you I will.
Please stay by my side when the night turns to day.
I will never fit in, I'm just not like you.
I will change if you ask me, will you?
Please hold me when my shoulders shakes from tears.
I did never fit in, was never like the crowd
And for you I changed it all, the old me is gone.
Please don't go, I beg you to stay.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Sometimes I start to think about all the people we meet.
People we know, strangers we don't, someones we greet.
The people we pass on the street, where are they going?
A strangers face cabn hold so much more than it's showing.
Without words and contact we both say Hi and Goodbye
Just by passing each other without giving it a try.
Life is filled with greetings and with farewells.
Do we meet them again when death rings his bells?
Or are we all alone in the end?

I havent been doing this in years, I stopped for some reason after college. But since the last couple of events in my life brought some inspiration, and I get some freetime to just sit and think, the texts flows.
And thank you, I appreciate it!
