DISC-FF

I saw this thread was silent, so i thought I would take a crack at it, even though poems aren't my thing, but whatever.

So I don't usually write or rhyme,
but I guess I can do it to pass the time.
but its always hard to think.
Its almost like if you were to blink
all of your concentration would be gone in a wink,
but that just may be me.

School starts and I die...
not really. I just cry
because then I have to say bye
to summer instead of saying hi.

But I guess I have one more year
until I can place in the fear
of going to college, which I would cheer for,
but I won't because meh.

So here's an attempt for me to rhyme.
I know it must've been a crime
for you to read this and waste your time,
but hey. Its too late now.

And now I take a bow...

*drops mic and floats off stage*

I dont know whats more pathetic?
The fact that you come around every once in a while to see If im still here.
Or the fact that i am still here

At the same time.
Scarred but hopeful
Equal parts of curiosity and anxiety
Being happy on the surface but distanced deep within
Feeling insecure and fears of whats to come.
Yet excited and eager for just the same.
You could just say it's hard to explain.

Anxiety
Shattered breaths
A fluttering heart
Hands that are shaking
Poetry that makes everything sound beautiful
Even anxiety

To miss everything thats normal
Miss safety
To know where everything is, how everything is supposed to be.
All the old routines.
Even If its just the order in the kitchen drawers

And just like that, you caught me on fire
Without you even understanding how.
All i could think was that you just enjoyed watching me burn

The shape of their nose.
The colour of their eyes.
That way that they smiled.
We've all had them and you still remember most of them don't you?
Now realize,
You've been that person for someone. So many times. And you never even knew it.
